Adv. Kumar Aniket
Senior Consultant
Kumar Aniket is a distinguished legal and finance professional with over two decades of experience spanning corporate governance, cross-border structuring, and startup advisory. He builds legal and financial frameworks for high-growth businesses, guides multinational companies through India market entry and exit, and structures cross-border tax positions under Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA).
A pioneer in India's fintech journey, he co-designed the country's first mobile wallet, Oxicash, along with the e-recharge platform Oxigen, helping shape the regulatory framework for digital payments in its earliest days. He has also worked closely with the Reserve Bank of India and ICICI Bank on policies governing internet banking, banking correspondents, and prepaid payment instruments.
Kumar's public-sector contributions include helping establish NAWADCO, a Government of India enterprise, and serving with the National Productivity Council under the Ministry of Commerce, where he worked on reviving financially distressed companies. In the private sector, as part of the Rocket Internet Group in India, he built legal and operational structures for several fast-scaling ventures, including Jabong, Foodpanda, and Fabfurnish, and has advised on numerous mergers, acquisitions, and post-merger integrations.
He also serves as advisor to a portfolio of companies including FuturePath AI, Tokenfolio, and Bio Sarthi, helping them build sound legal, financial, and operational foundations. Kumar brings a rare, dual vantage point — as both architect and regulator — to matters of corporate governance, financial crime, regulatory compliance, and cross-border business structuring.
